2005 – Mason County Homeless Plan: Phase One
Under contract with Mason County, Mason Matters worked with the community to develop Phase One of Mason County Homeless Plan. State House Bill 2163 required local county governments to develop a plan to reduce homelessness in their communities in ten-year. Various stakeholders came together for four months (September – December, 2005) to develop Phase One of our Homeless Plan. The limiting factor was the lack of data describing our homeless and at-risk-for-homeless populations. Plans were also made to conduct a more comprehensive Homeless Census in January 2006.
